After getting her BSc from UVic, she decided non-profit fundraising was how she wanted to make her stamp on the world, particularly in events. Designing Positive Human Experience is the name of the game for Corina. Whether that’s writing fun copy, creating an empowering event environment or telling an awful dad joke, her goal is to always put a smile on your face.
She graduated from The University of British Columbia in 2015 with a BSc in Food, Nutrition and Health. Throughout that time at UBC she sprinkled plentiful amounts of Entrepreneurship, Event Planning and Community Building into every involvement she had. Driven by creating inclusive and action-oriented connections of people and ideas, she’s always on the hunt for the next challenge. Alongside close friends, she started The Calendar, a student-led organization, to improve student spirit and involvement on the UBC campus. After UBC, in true “eat pray love” fashion, she packed her bags for a few months of solo backpacking through Europe.
Upon returning, she worked for both Lululemon and Hootsuite to contribute to the Wellness, Marketing and Technology spaces. Now as a Customer Success Associate at Hootsuite, and having just finished up her Digital Marketing Certification at RED Academy, she’s thrilled to be joining the other ladies of YES! Vancouver’s Communication Team.
When Corina isn’t living the #hootsuitelife and drafting up new business plan ideas, you can find her running around the city (literally), enjoying a local craft beer among fab friends, or (her favourite) taking advantage of a sunny outdoor napping spot for the afternoon. At the next event please be sure to say hey
